Maersk, the world’s largest container shipping company, has announced a breakthrough for logistics operations in Ukraine. Despite ongoing challenges in the region, the company is now able to offer direct bookings to the country from anywhere in the world. This is welcome news for customers who have been struggling with this issue for the past year.

The breakthrough comes thanks to a new, weekly barge service launched by Maersk. The service runs from the Port of Constanta in Romania to the Port of Reni in Ukraine. The service is now fully operational across two routes, via the Constanta/Danube Channel and the Black Sea. The transit time is approximately 1.5 days, making it a fast and reliable option for customers.

The new service is set to alleviate a significant pain point for customers and open up new opportunities for trade and commerce. Despite the ongoing challenges in the region, Maersk remains committed to providing the best possible service to its customers. The company’s expertise and resources continue to be vital in overcoming logistical challenges and keeping the global supply chain moving.
