The first pilot container train has been launched, following the overland route from Kazakhstan to Turkey, via Iran.

The train consists of 48 20-foot containers filled with sulfur and passes through Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Iran.

This route is offered by “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” and is exciting as a delivery time – 12 days from Pavlodar station in Kazakhstan to Turkish Payas station.

It promises to become regular and contribute to increasing container traffic in the region in the future.
